U.K. Network: Roller Derby Show Ordered – The Hollywood Reporter one step closer to the US

U.K. Network: Roller Derby Show Ordered – The Hollywood Reporter.

Click on the link above.

This is the first major coverage of Roller Derby on a national basis since the A@E program on the the Texas Roller Derby 7 years ago.

Television can be the best way of bringing in new fans…….I certainly know that.  “Whip It” was amazing as is “Derby Baby” in creating fans……but showing Derby on a weekly basis will do wonders…..I know.

Although the show will not air until fall, I strongly urge all leagues who are within the coverage area of the extreme sports cable outlet do the following:  aim your promotion and listing the time  and day these programs (programmes for those in the gun-free countries) are on, mention at your games, and create a 30-second tv buy in them (it will be quite inexpensive in your market area…..create your own 30 second promo, always leaving room for a “tag” for your next game…….and of course world wide ticket sales at Brownpapertickets.com – free for you, just 99 cents for buyers).

Just trust the Commissioner on this one.

And the London Roller Girls are a world class team, so the skating will be good (if they don’t stop and slow down).

and check out the wonderful Raw Amy Ruffell on “shit London Roller girls say” on You tube.

And where is the US in all of this?
