Derby Memoirs: A Tribute To Roller Derby History – Jean Porter

Derby Memoirs: A Tribute To Roller Derby History – Jean Porter.

Jean Porter was born in Canada and came with her parents to see Roller Derby in Buffalo New York and she joined in 1949.  I can’t see she is native american, but her father was Oneida, her mother Mohawk, and they were a natithe family.  I short film (scripted) was made using her in the early 50s…..I will post on facebook.

  1. Jean Porter had one of the smoothest, great 5 strides ever seen in Roller Derby. She was beautiful woman and I’ve met her in Laughlin and can tell you she is a beautiful person!
