Click on the above link……anyone can jam, rarely substitutions, 8 periods in the game, women teams alternating with the men. huge track, about 130 feet by 75 (not portable), great speed by pack and if lead jammer falls or is knocked down, jam ends….points hard to come by.
Jerry – thanks for linking to the video I uploaded. It does clearly show how conditioned these athletes were and how they knew how to skate a proper 5 stride! Gotta love the great skating of that golden era!
I wish I could skate 1/100th as well as they did. Those skaters were awesome and those tracks were awesome! I love the games from the 1950s. Hence why my skater name is now the Jersey Jolter. Though 99% of the time I just use my real name.
