Movie Review – Derby – Screen: American Dream:' Derby' Mixes Fantasy and Fact Skillfully – NYTimes.com.

Click on link above for New York Times review of my film Derby.

I promised this to you yesterday….Hopefully you have had a chance to read the prior post and see the trailer of this very unusual, spontaneous, unscripted film about the game my family created and how it was played and perceived.

The story behind it has never been full told or explained….It was suggested to me that I see about getting it on video on demand and do a short interview to explain how this film that was praised by every major critic (from Roger Ebert to Frank Deford to Judith Crist and on and on) was made for $100,000 and ended up being described as portraying the way America was……very strange.

Please take two minutes to read the review…….would you see it if I put it on video on demand?

Just let me know.

  1. I have the dvd, Would buy it again if there were bonus chapters about what happened to the main characters since then. Anybody know what happened to Mike Snell?
