The blood drive to date with Roller Derby leagues in Northern California have resulted in over 150 pints of blood being given by caring skaters, fans, and others; this amount can save up to 450 lives!

Red Cross is everywhere helping people; you can also donate today to help those affected by the terrible flooding in Colorado. The Derby leagues there are helping also.

There are two more blood drives upcoming: one this Saturday September 21 in San Jose at the home of the Silicon Valley Roller Girls on Blossom Hill Road. To register go to http://www.redcrossblood.org, and enter the word “Derby”…..or you may just show up.

Leave with the tee shirt, cookie and other treats, and a smile knowing you have helped your fellow being. I gave, you can too.

And watch for the word about Sonoma County’s Roller Derby drive on November 23rd in Santa Rosa. more on that later.
